Are you a good Mom (or Dad) Manager? When it comes to parenting I use a lot of things I learned in business. Are you teaching your kids good time management skills? Are you teaching your kids how to manage multiple projects? Are you teaching your kids how to meet their clients (teachers) expectations? I learned all of these things once I started my business career, I really wish I had learned them when I was in Jr High like my son. I also approach these conversations like I would with an employee. Theres no yelling, theres no grounding or taking away privileges. I give my son plenty of input into how he thinks these tasks can be done effectively. This way he OWNS all of his grades.
