With son in his heart continuing efforts to help heal Mihdi, Marvin Brock Sr is working to extend his knowledge, skills and experience to assist people in business with reducing stress by utilizing natural healing methods for health and wellness through Qi Center. Marvin Brock Sr has been father and caregiver for his son [Mihdi] since infancy. With a degree in radio, TV and Motion-Picture, working as a journalist, he was one of the first black men in prime time TV in the Greensboro -High Point - Winston Salem, NC Triad. Marvin has always pushed past barriers. A change of career in order to return to his home country of Bermuda led him to become a highly successful life insurance agent, earning a lifetime membership in the “million-dollar round-table”. At age 49, after a devastating business loss he picked up the mantle of Oriental Medicine to prepare himself for a third career. Having studied Martial Arts, since age 11, he included the art of Qi Gong in midlife, and he chose to balance out his life by studying the healing Art of Oriental Medicine. Little did he know that this study, and these practices would be vital for saving his yet unborn son's life. When the best doctors said that there wasn't anything they could do and that his son would not live past age ten, Marvin set out to find an alternative. The answer lay in a highly skilled Doctor of Oriental medicine who agreed to treat the boy because the two of them could work together – Marvin's five years of study in Oriental Medicine gave him the unique ability to assist him in the care and treatment of Mihdi. What was needed was far more time intensive than the daily hour and a half time that the doctor could devote. Marvin has been assisting Dr. Baolin Wu in the care and treatment of his son since 2000.
